PRESIDENTS MESSAGE: Hope this message finds everyone well. The summer seems to be going by fast. I hope that everyone has been enjoying the great weather and getting out and enjoying all of the outside activities that come along with summer. A big THANK-YOU to ALL of the volunteers that helped out with the Bill Whetstone Tournament. We had a great turnout and I believe that everyone had a good time. I would also like to THANK Ed Innis, Margaret Stephens, Don & Jan Hayward, Larry & Val Miller, Jo Zehr and Jeff Hansen for helping serve food and beer at this year’s Fireman/Policeman Softball Game. The Fireman prevailed and won in an exciting last inning rally for a 13-12 victory. If you didn’t make it out this year to the game make sure you mark it down for next year. We also had another successful Kids Concert and I would like to THANK Jake & Jim Markland for their hard work in putting this together. We did cook this time around for this event and although it was slow at first the kids sure did enjoy the fact that we had food available at the end. LOL!! THANKS to Bill & Margaret Stephens, Sue Wagner, Roger Reuille, Ed Innis for cooking their hearts out. Our next big event will be parking for Johnny Appleseed on September 19^th & 20^th. If you are interested in helping please contact Joleen Burns (749-1731) or watch for the sign-up board down at the club. DEADLINE FOR NEWSLETTER: The deadline for the Turner Newsletter is Board Meeting night (third Tuesday of the month). It is our aim to get each month’s newsletter to our membership by the first of the month. Please adhere to this deadline and make the job of doing the newsletter easier.

Please submit articles for Newsletter on the form we have provided. Scraps of paper and napkins are too easily lost or overlooked. If you submit a full page schedule, results or notices; please do not mark on the back side (we can print a full page and do not need to retype). Want to use club facilities, dinning room, gym, pavilion or softball diamonds; whether it be for a Society function (N/C) or for personal rental (set charges). The dining room is available at no charge to only Turner members for a Funeral dinner for their immediate family (spouse, mother, father, grandparents and children).
